Pelvic floor course

Pregnancy and childbirth put a strain on the core and palvic floor muscels. Weakened muscles, tendons and ligaments can lead to functional restrictions. Some women have weak pelvic floor muscles from an early age, whilst others notice problems after certain life stages such as pregnancy, childbirth or menopause.

Pelvic floor dysfunction is the inability to correctly relax and coordinate your pelvic floor muscles. Common signs are accidentally leaking urine while exercising, laughing or coughing, needing to get to the toilet in a hurry or not making it there in time, finding it difficult to empty your bladder or bowel, pressure in the pelvic region or rectum, lower back pain, discomfort during sexual intercourse.

The fitness class Pelvic floor - power center of the body" is a progressive pelvic floor class for all those women and mothers who complain about the lower back or pelvic area.

Strengthening your pelvic floor muscles will help you to actively support and control your bladder and bowel. Like other muscles in your body, your pelvic floor and transverse abdominis will become stronger with the regular exercises.

What is included:

  • Training of perception and the functional use of the pelvic floor, in coordination with transverse abdominal and back muscles.

  • Pelvic floor, core muscles and also the extremities will be strengthened, stretched and mobilized in order to build up a good overall fitness.

  • The program creates an understanding of the pelvic floor, how to protect it from overload in sport and everyday life and how to keep it healthy and fit for life.

  • Please, if possible, bring your own yoga mat and towel
  • We are not allowed to offer drinks, so please bring your own bottle
  • Please, keep a save distance and wear a mask over your mouth and nose until you have taken your place on the mat
